  • Anaplastic Oligodendroglioma from Italy

    Good evening to all,
I am Marco and I live in Italy. My dad (58 years old) has a brain cancer. He has an anaplastic oligodendroglioma (MGMT methylated, IDH1 mutated - IDH1 R132H, LOH 1/19)
He had the surgery and now he's going to begin the radiotherapy together with chemotherapy (140 mg TMZ) for 6 weeks. Then, after a month of stop there will be the adjuvant chemotherapy (TMZ) for 6 months.
Currently, due to the particular COVID situation, we have still to choose the neuro-oncologist but this will be done soon.
I am writing here because I would like to ask you if there are additional suggestions/attentions to take in the fight with this brain tumor, during and after the radiotherapy.

I've read about cell reprogramming and immunotherapy after radiotherapy. Have you got an advise on that?

I apologize in advance if this post seems inappropriate.

It is worth looking into a vaccine clinical trial. I do not know what trials are available in italy?
