Hypothermic therapy

Has anyone heard of Hypothermic Therapy? Or something similarly named.

One of the nurses at my wife's chemotherapy suite was talking to her about it. Unfortunately, I was not with her and due to her condition she finds it hard to retain information, so I have very little to go on. All she can tell me is that another patient had recently visited Germany (from the UK) to obtain this treatment.
